Have you checked the price?

these 35mm domes are highly directive, that is compensated by making the on-axis response rising. Overall this makes the speaker to be too crisp on-axis, a feature that some people like, some don't. The elevated low end makes xo design more challenging

SEAS T35
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And Edge simulation of baffle step and diffracions in a typical placement in a 300x800mm cabinet baffle. The SEAS low end is clever - in a baffle the response is straight to 600Hz without xo!

I also hav ecosidered audax x34X0, but fs declared ( 700 Hz)is a bit too high and measured tend to near 800 Hz... :-(

cheers

The Sica tweeter looks very nice.
This is a ~1 inch/27 mm (???) tweeter metal dome maybe good for some studio nuts. Is not in the main Seas Catalog on line, as I know it or just couldn't find it (maybe a OEM type reference).
Have fun. :)
The parameter for Sd is: Effective Piston Area 7.6 cm^2.

If a 30mm dome is "large" enough for you, I can recommend the Wavecor tweeters, models TW030WA05/06/07/08.

One of these (the TW030WA05) was tested by John Krutke and the results are found in his blog at Zaph Audio:
Zaph|Audio
Just search the page for Wavecor and you will find it.

These have great performance all around and the response is much more controlled and extended compared to the Scanspeak d3806 that you initially mentioned. It can likely work with your 1st order 2kHz crossover and the "05" version has the sensitivity you seek (90.5dB@2.83V 4R nominal impedance).
