Been reading this thread for the last few days, I think one on the best threads I have ever followed. Has anyone got experience of BUNKER BPD-1 Processor http://sound4us.elementfx.com/ I like the look of this processor, though not sure if its processing speed and quality is what I need for home audio, in a 4 way active system. At the moment I am using a TOA V141, which is limited to preset frequencies for each driver, and only has a choice of 12dB/18dB filtering.

Semantics.

Sorry, but this made me laugh. :cheerful:

Why is one of the first thing that we judge audio equipment on is the way it looks? Is that even relevent?

Here in the UK many words are used interchangeably, it all depends on context. Sometimes we might saying something looks good if it tastes, sounds or even feels good, what you might call a feeling or hunch.
I don't generally judge equipment according to looks rather according to the satisfaction it gives, which is surely the whole point of the excercise. I have been building, modifying and designing speakers and other stuff for 40 years, and have been building active speakers systems for 30 years from scratch, including professional sound systems, most of which do not look that perfect but sound rather good to me. My oldest son has been living and working in the States for years now, whenever he comes to stay I find myself using American English the way he now speaks, believe me the differences in language take some getting used to! :)
