.... I know this creepy little town..... I know this creepy little country.

Hey, make up your mind.

Not To-Lose, but i recall flashing the salami more than once in Cahors, petite centre naturiste.
And nothing beats shooting a compound or crossbow in the woods, with an extra stabiliser rod.

(Ah, minus 4 years left before i'll play with andouillette all day from Antibes to Agde in autumn, Gruissan to Gibraltar in winter )

Any idea what this is meant to be?

Yeah....that's the Florida equivalent of alien "crop circles".......

No, really.....those are drainage ditches for some of the wetter (read, SWAMPY) areas of Florida. I guess if they are successful in draining some of those areas, they'll become candidates for construction of "golf villas" ($$$$)

I'm more to the south.... a block off the Gulf Coast (and at a booming elevation of 42 feet above sea level....!!)

(P.S. Back in Colorado, today. Snowing, and a high of 24 F......)

With the Choctawhatchee river delta in the east, it may be more than drainage.
Flooding in autum & winter : sediment deposit.
Drainage during spring & summer season : soil consolidation.
Makes a self-rising landscape project.

Probably true, Jacco...... but global warming is going to turn half of Florida into an undersea marine park in a few years, anyway!

....the last pic looks familiar. I used to hike the Haiku Steps near Kaneohe up to the top of the Pali ridgeline on Oahu. Quite a spectacular hike, with fantastic views (if the weather and rain cooperated!).

CanAm Man... Thanks -yes, very similar looking coastline, although, it's looking down on Waimanalo Beach, Kaohekaipo Island, and Makapuu point on the right. Kuliouou also has a lot of steps; as a volunteer on a DLNR / Sierra Club trail service project, I put ~40 of them. :dead:
