Here are a couple of pictures. Nothing fancy aesthetically. Mainly used materials I already had. Blank space on underside of amp is for SSHV and heater regs which will replace the present eBay Chinese regulator which supplies only 285V at B+. Used tagstrip/boards for component layout. Valves are russian 6n2p-ev and 6H8S. Even with no boutique components I like the sound a lot. No hum or background noise whatsoever. A satisfying project all round (despite the hitches).

Nice with the tag strips. There is more potential when you will fit the supplies.

Thank you guys for your compliments. Not a work of art at all!
Yes Salas, I did take care laying out the components on tagboard and wiring. It's the sound that really counts and that's the area I'm most satisfied with. Wait for me until I build the shunt regulators. I'll probably come back to you with a couple of problems. But then that's the most fascinating thing about this Forum.
Cheers.

GB 1% RIAA caps Valve Itch

Hey guys,

I am sorry, yesterday asked ELFA what's happen with our order 1% RIAA caps & here is the answer:

Dear Felipe
Thx for this reminder for these cap´s you have ordered some time ago.
I´m afraid that both items are still in back order from the mfr ICEL in Italy.
Actually we are facing big problems with this supplier right now, lead time could be 3-5 weeks longer...
Please advice if you like to cancel this order & refund your cc?
Kind regards Mats

I can wait but I would like to know if all people can wait, anyhow if the majority does not want to wait I will do the same thing that the majority decides so please let me know?

Cheers
Felipe

mmm, I wonder if thats a mistake alright. I think I was working from a number given in one of the posts. I've just a quick look on the lundahl site and I wonder if its really LL9206?

I personally am using the partridge ones from ebay, so I can verify that they work AOK.

lundhal page: Lundahl Catalog Page

I see though that K&K offer the LL1931 as an upgrade from the LL9206

Was testing my 977s with square waves and I saw no ringing when the red pin (out) is loaded with 18K but a bit of HF loss also, a good compromise between a small edge peak and good HF was with 22K. Was over-gaining HF with 47K and was ringing enough. That is for function generator and oscilloscope, not with a cartridge, but worth mentioning.
