Yeah well. You can be lucky that they let the package pass. I've seen that before. I have ordered several tripath amps from ebay in different ways, but have not yet tried that Post Danmark let my delivery come through the customs without being charged for the contains.
You can also try to mail the seller and tell him to put a 10 $ value tag on the item or mark it as a gift. Then the limit will be 340 DKK before the import fee will be charged.

You could still use the P.Audio SN10-MB Series II or Eminence Deltalite 2510, no?
I have no idea. I have not checked those drivers if they fit and if they have same data as HP10W or the cabinet needs to be changed. If the latter is the case then i can't.

If you, however, cannot wait for the them to come back the IMG Stageline SPA-10PA can be put in the same cabinet as the HP-10W (you might want to calculate exact port width, height and length with WinISD). That's what I did for my stereo as Roskilde.
The problem here is that you might want to choose some other piezos because the SPA-10PA ranges from fs-3500 hz (starts rolloff at 2500 hz) and the Motorola KSN-1005 replica ranges from 4000 hz and up, which means there will be some space in between.

Thats some upgrade.. In order to use those tweeters you'll have to use the amp9basic and use some sort of pllxo or a minidsp to filter.. The amp6basic wont be able to handle it unless you cool it quite a lot as the impedance per channel will drop to around 2ohm..
First a MiniDSP and then the option to choose between an AMP6B on 12V or an AMP9B on 24V.

Well, since the pht407 isn´t a piezo tweeter you cant just parallel it with the woofers without lowering the impedance.. Its an 8 ohm tweeter and 2 of those in parallel with two 8 ohm speakers will give you 2ohm, which is troublesome to handle for the amp6 without adequate cooling.. However, you can just run the amp9 on 12v if you wanna save power, alas not as power saving as the amp6
I've been looking into the Eminence Basslite CH2010 and S2010, and it seems the S2010 is an even better option despite it's bit problematic response at the very top end. That can be overcome but it weighs the same, ie. 1.6kg each, has approximately the same output but cost around DKK200 less each. They can be bought in the UK for £62 each. That's €70, so that's €20 more each than the current asking price of the HP10W. Availability of the S2010 is guarenteed though.
Together with the PHT407N that'll make a output that far exceeds the standard Boominator in sound quality and the drivers alone will make it 6kg lighter.
If you then take a 18Ah li-ion battery pack to power it instead of 2 7Ah SLAs, you will have saved over 10kg total, or a Boominator weighing under 15kg. Now that would be truely portable.

I have a question...has any of you experienced that there are almost no bass when standing directly in front of the Boominator? Because our newest version which we had with us at Roskilde had some weird acoustics IMO. It sounded like the bass didn't 'fold' around the ends of the Boominator such that the bass was only audible on the sides, not in front.
What puzzles me is that our older versions did not have this problem, but hey were also shorter. This year we made it 10cm wider in the middle compartment to store more batteries, so I'm thinking this is the reason for the weird bass-loss. Have any of you experienced the same? It bothers me quite a lot, since it is not pleasant to be sitting in the line directly out form the speakers..
Any ideas on how to fix it without building a new one?
