Lets see, for 20v use 1n4060 or 4061, for 24v 1n4062 and 36v 1n4066.

Here we go then. Not just any Zener, but 1N40XX Microsemi temperature compensated components, are to be preferred by shunt builders if they can get their hands on them. Noise concerns by possible wrong Zener choices addressed

They go around 62V after rectification in practice, like being 2X22V, still need a 10R resistor before cap, and they don't lose easily, very good regulation. If the 2X18V 80VA model goes 2X19V in reality, it would be best for about 53-54V and to avoid the resistor.
They're the R-Cores sold by audiophonics, The one pictured is from France, Selectronic.
